What to Expect from Solid Hardwood
No two boards are the same. You may notice:
• Natural grain variation
• Slight color differences
• Knots and organic markings
• Subtle texture and character
These are all normal and part of what makes solid wood furniture beautiful.
Stain & Color Variation
Wood absorbs stain differently depending on the species, grain, and finish.
This means your table may vary slightly from photos or previous builds — even when using the same stain.
Every table is finished using the selected stain, but natural wood creates slight variations in tone — part of what makes each piece unique.
Finish & Distressing
The final appearance of your table will depend on the finish style:
• Smooth finishes appear lighter and more refined
• Distressed finishes may appear darker and more textured
This is due to how wood accepts stain based on sanding and surface preparation.
Natural Movement of Wood
Solid wood expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity.
This may result in:
• Slight movement between boards
• Small gaps forming or closing over time
This is completely normal and does not affect the strength or durability of your table.
Handcrafted Details
Because every table is built by hand, you may notice:
